ACH Group’s residential care homes are a safe and secure place for older people to continue to live well.

What services are available?

What are the options for residential care?

  • We have eight fully accredited homes across Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula, each with their own signature features and strong links with the local community
  • ACH Group’s nineth care home ‘Healthia’ will reimagine aged care in Adelaide’s north
  • Some homes offer memory support units and respite care

How can you access residential care?

The Federal Government pays for most aged care services however there is an expectation that Australians will contribute to the cost of care if they have the ability to do so.

How much residents are asked to contribute depends on their financial situation; however, the system is designed to ensure everyone can access the care they need regardless of circumstances.

Where do you start?

If you or a loved one is thinking about moving into residential care, the first step is to have a needs assessment by a member of ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Team).

ACAT will meet with you to discuss current needs and work out what options available. Your doctor can help you arrange an assessment or phone ACH Group on 1300 22 44 77 for support with this process.

What does your Monday afternoon usually look like? For Su, an international student at TAFE SA, it is a time dedicated to volunteering at Healthia Residential Care Home. Su’s creativity and origami skills are well admired by the residents. With origami, you start with a blank piece of paper, and it is up to your intention and skill what you create. It is, in a way, a fitting analogy to describe volunteering.

Su added that she believes if you have a warm heart and a big smile, you have everything you need to start.

Su, you are a true inspiration to many of us at ACH Group. Thank you for connecting with residents through the art of origami, bringing extra kindness and gentleness into their life. 🙌

Thank you for filming me. I’m visiting on Monday because I don’t have a class. So, I became a “Monday girl” 😄 I hope more people will enjoy volunteer work by sharing my story. 💕
