Privately funded
You can access services immediately, and there is no waiting period and no assessment by My Aged Care.
Privately-funded services are suitable if you don’t qualify for government assistance or you don’t want to go through the government assessment and wait for funding (e.g. a Support at Home).
This option is also suitable if you want to access services while waiting for approval for government-subsidised services or ‘top up’ your government subsidised services.
