Home Care Package (HCP) is now Support at Home

Understanding the new Support at Home Program

From 1 November 2025, the Australian Government is introducing the new Support at Home program, a significant change designed to make accessing in-home aged care simpler, more flexible, and truly responsive to your unique needs.

This program will replace the existing Home Care Package (HCP) Program and the Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) Programme.

At ACH Group, we believe older people should be valued and respected, connected to their communities, and in control of their lives. We are committed to guiding you through these changes with trusted advice, continuity of care, and support that’s always tailored to you, ensuring your journey is as simple and stress-free as possible.

We also have the winners of the quarterly Service Moments Story Award!

This award recognises individuals or teams who champion our Service Behaviours of Love What We Do, Take Action & Responsibility, Put Our Hand Up for Challenges and Celebrate Uniqueness.

🏆The winners are Michael Dobie and Amy White, who were recognised for their leadership in developing ACH Group’s new Finger Food Guide. The guide enhances mealtime experiences by promoting independence and dignity, particularly for residents who find utensils challenging or enjoy handheld options. After extensive testing and feedback in collaboration with the Perry Park Memory Support Unit team, the guide was implemented across all residential care homes. It has since earned high praise from an independent assessor, who described it as a “fantastic, innovative tool” unlike anything seen in other organisations.
