🚴‍♂️🚗 Coffee & Chrome at Healthia! 🚗🏍️

On Sunday 17 August, we held a Coffee & Chrome event at Healthia. Residents came out to enjoy the sun and a morning of nostalgia with motorbikes and classic cars right on their doorstep. We had 1950s music playing, hot coffee at the café, and the 59 Motorcycle Club brought along Triumphs, Royal Enfields, and Harleys, joined by friends with classic cars.

While Marilyn, resident at Healthia hopped into one of the cars and asked, “Where are we going?”, and Manisha, Clinical Care Consultant, gave us a big rev on the Harley, many wonderful residents’ stories were shared:
✨ Jean recalled holidaying on her motorbike with her husband in their 20s.
✨ Marilyn remembered carefree rides through the Adelaide Hills with her boyfriend.
✨ Brian shared how he bought a brand-new Triumph Bonneville in 1979 and that he worked for 20 years at Peter Stevens.
✨ Desmond spoke about his EH Holden and motorbikes.
✨ And of course, Loll beamed seeing the Royal Enfields again.

A massive shout-out to everyone who volunteered their time. and thank you to Healthia’s Home Manager, Dan, for her support, Community Connector Lead Amanda for coordinating at Healthia, Café Assistant Sharnie for the hot coffees; and the 59 Motorcycle Club Rockers and ACH Group’s Corporate Office staff members Emma, Fran, and Deb for coordinating with key people - along with all staff who helped on the day.
