The newly developed Forward with Dementia website and program is inviting people living with dementia, their carers/families, and health and social care providers to participate in an interview about their experiences with the Forward with Dementia website.
A big happy birthday to Cecilia, who celebrated her 100th birthday on 25 June! 🥳🎉🎂
Cecilia lives at West Park Residential Care Home in Goolwa, but was born in Echuca, New South Wales.
After living in Melbourne and Adelaide with her late husband Victor and three children - Jeffrey, Francess and Brenton - the couple moved to Goolwa in the late 1980s when Victor retired.
Cecilia has been an active member of the Fleurieu community being a Life Member of the Mothers’ Union, a Member of the Country Women’s Association, a volunteer at Goolwa’s Anglican Church, and enjoying the many activities at Signal Point.
At West Park she is a ‘social butterfly’ with a great sense of humour and loves singing.
Cecilia was joined by family from the local Fleurieu area, along with her daughter, son in law and granddaughter who flew from Queensland to mark the very special occasion. ... See MoreSee Less

Just around the corner from me. Probably have spoken to her at the Church Charity shop. She looks happy. My current mother in law is going on 102 at Victor. This salt air down here must be good for us oldies. Hope Cecilia birthday was a happy one. Best Wishes.
It’s perfect weather to pull out the knitting needles and wool! 🧶
For the third year, residents at ACH Group residential care homes - like Helen from Yankalilla (pictured) - are making mittens and knitting scarfs and beanies for people experiencing homelessness… and they need your help! You can either knit the base pieces of mittens or donate wool.
