Cost no longer a barrier to personal care for older South Australians

Older South Australians who have delayed or declined personal care because of cost are expected to access support thanks to changes to Support at Home, says South Australian aged care provider ACH Group. From 1 October 2026, eligible Support at Home customers will no longer pay out-of-pocket costs for personal care services including assistance with showering, dressing and medication assistance. For ACH Group customers currently contributing to personal care, the change is expected to save them an average of more than $800 a year.
