After months of dedication and creativity, ACH Group customers from the Port Noarlunga art class have unveiled their finished works, now hanging in ACH Group’s annual art exhibition as part of the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival.
ACH Group has a proud 15-year association with SALA, a statewide festival of visual art held across South Australia every August.
From Ellie Lloyd’s historic pen and pencil portraits of South Australian landmarks to Jenny McKay’s vibrant acrylic Tabby and Lesley Schneider’s dreamy, textured landscapes, each submission is as individual as the artist behind it.
Port Noarlunga Art Group Lead and esteemed artist in her own right, Linda Hammond said the artwork produced by ACH Group customers this year was spectacular.
“They are all really great artists, and I’m proud of every one of them,” she said. “What impresses me most is their willingness to step outside their comfort zone, experiment with new styles and mediums, and truly challenge themselves. The work they’ve produced is top shelf, and I’d encourage everyone to get out and see the wonderful art being made for SALA.”
Ellie (pictured above), who is presenting three historic pieces, says her favourite depicts the well-known South Road Doctor’s House.
“It’s such a South Australian landmark, anyone from here would recognise it instantly,” she said.
Lesley’s dual Stormy Bay works combine an acrylic paint base with palette knife techniques to add depth and texture.

“I made Stormy Bay up, but I probably shouldn’t admit that,” she laughed. “I’m sure somewhere in South Australia looks just like it.”
Jenny took a playful approach with her piece simply titled Cat.

“I love painting in colour,” she said. “And to me, a cat is never something you own — it owns your house.”
This year, ACH Group’s theme, ‘Through My Eyes’, invites audiences to see the world through the personal stories and unique perspectives of the artists. Artists from ACH Group retirement living, residential care homes and community services are invited to participate.
Behind these individual achievements lies the supportive and creative environment of ACH Group’s art groups. Led by experienced art leads, these sessions provide a welcoming space for people of all abilities, including those living with health conditions, to explore their creativity, learn new techniques, and gain the confidence to share their work publicly. Practical assistance is available where needed, ensuring everyone can fully participate and express themselves.
The 2025 ACH Group SALA exhibition will be on display at Campbelltown Library and Woodcroft Neighbourhood Centre from 11–29 August.
