Free health and wellbeing support packages

In 2021, ACH Group partnered with the Adelaide Primary Health Network to offer free resilience and re-conditioning packages to people aged 65+ (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 55+) living in metropolitan Adelaide.

Over a six-week period, package recipients were connected with health professionals and services to foster healthy ageing and reduce the impact associated with COVID-19 restrictions.

Packages promoted and coordinated connection and re-connection to community services that benefitted physical, emotional and social health including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, personal training and social activities and experiences.

Outcomes included:

• Improved physical activity,
• Increased healthy eating,
• Social connections,
• Support to plan for future COVID-19 restrictions,
• Support with technology for online and virtual connections.
