On 20 October, Diwali the annual Hindu festival, will be celebrated by millions of people around the world, including staff at ACH Group.
The festival brings families and friends together for prayers and festivities to symbolise the victory of light over darkness, and good over evil.
ACH Group’s Executive Manager, People, Culture & Safety, Cher Lopresti, said with 60% of the aged care provider’s workforce originating from countries that celebrate Diwali it is a wonderful opportunity for colleagues to come together and embrace the festival’s spirit.
“Again, this year, our workforce has gathered at staff-organised, ACH Group-funded, events that feature traditional dress, decorations and food, and lamp lighting ceremonies,” she said.
“Diwali is one of several cultural awareness events we celebrate across ACH Group to raise awareness and respect for cultural traditions and spend valuable time with our colleagues.
“Wishing a very Happy Diwali to all who celebrate.”
