As we celebrate Christmas Day today, we’re looking back on a heart-warming afternoon at Milpara Residential Care Home. 🎄

Residents and their families came together for 'A Generation of Christmas', sharing stories, laughter, and festive crafts that wove new memories with treasured traditions. 🎁

✨ A family member shared: “We all thoroughly enjoyed it and I could tell Dad was proud as punch! I really loved the idea of the Christmas Memories Keepsake Book and learnt a thing or two about Mum and Dad's Xmas's!”

🎅 And Santa (aka Tony) said: “When asked to be a part of this special event I was as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof. I overcame my nervousness and enjoyed the experience immensely. My favourite part was when a little girl asked why Santa was in a wheelchair which took me by surprise. I had to think on my feet and tell her that Rudolf had run away and the chair was the only transport I had available. The little girl wasn't at all bothered by the gift I was trying to give her but said ‘don't worry Santa, I'll find him’ and off she ran to look for Rudolf. It was lovely.” ❤️

✨ Sorcha, Community Connector Lead, confirmed: “Santa’s letters were also wonderful and I believe there were lots of lovely requests and season’s greetings in them. They were so good that we got an urgent delivery from the North Pole on the day where Santa replied to everyone who posted their letter via our magical mailbox on the day.” ✉️

✨ Merry Christmas to you all! 🎅🎄🎁✨🌟🎉
