ACH Group Way Awards
At ACH Group, we offer a wide range of rewards, recognition programs, and benefits designed around what matters most to our workforce – from recognising and celebrating our culture, to supporting career growth, financial wellbeing, flexibility, health, and lifestyle.
Each quarter, ACH Group seeks nominations for individuals and teams who go above and beyond in championing high quality care and supporting older people to live and age well, in what is known as the ‘ACH Group Way Awards’.
These awards hold special significance as they are peer-nominated and peer-awarded. In 2025, across two award categories, there have been more than 45 nominations.
The awards categories:
- Good Lives Story Award – recognises individuals/teams who bring our 4Rs (Reablement, Real Experiences, Right Relationships, and Roles) to life to support Good Lives for Older People.
- Service Moments Story Award – recognises individuals/teams who champion our Service Behaviours of Love What We Do, Take Action & Responsibility, Put Our Hand Up for Challenges and Celebrate Uniqueness.
ACH Group Awards – 2025 Winners
This year, the winners were announced on 25 November revealing….
Winner of the Good Lives Award – The Highercombe Residential Care Team
Highercombe was nominated for its exceptional commitment to person-centred care, supporting a resident to live a good life through independence, connection and holistic support.
In this particular instance, a resident arrived with complex care requirements, and needed full mobility support, extensive personal care assistance, and help to achieve a healthy weight. Through the dedication of Highercombe’s multidisciplinary team and the 4Rs framework, the resident regained mobility, restored his dignity, improved his health, and built meaningful social connections. He ultimately returned home to live independently and continues to visit Highercombe, reflecting the genuine relationships formed. His journey showcases the team’s compassion and collaboration in delivering life-changing, person-centred care.

Winners of the Service Moment Award – Michael Dobie & Amy White
Michael Dobie, Dietitian Lead, and Amy White, Operations Manager Holden Hill were recognised for their leadership in creating ACH Group’s new Finger Food Guide.
The guide enhances mealtime experiences by promoting independence and dignity, particularly for residents who find utensils challenging or enjoy handheld options.
After extensive testing and feedback in collaboration with the Perry Park Memory Support Unit team, the guide was implemented across all residential care homes. It has since earned high praise from an independent assessor, who described it as a “fantastic, innovative tool” unlike anything seen in other organisations.
