Volunteering brings 'something for everyone,' and it's far from a one-way street. Your life experience at your life stage is what makes relationships thrive, creating a synergy of knowledge and skills to support others.

Take Edward, a high-school student who plans to study to become a neurosurgeon after graduating from Immanuel College this year. Edward started volunteering because, as he said, it was close to his home. But he has since developed a strong passion for encouraging more young people to volunteer.

In the photo, Edward is seen with Ken, his new-found friend from Kapara Residential Care Home.

Edward and Ken have become the inspirational role models featured in this year’s National Volunteer Week media release.

We truly recommend you read it - it’s a remarkable story of how volunteering can positively impact people’s lives 🔗 bit.ly/3yrzPfC
