Oscar prioritised attending as many career expos’ as he could in his final year of study, and after a conversation with ACH Group, began his career as an Occupational Therapist.
Here’s Oscar’s top 5 tips to make the most of the expo experience:
1. Do some research, know which employers are attending.
2. Go with friends, it can be less intimidating approaching employers with a friend by your side.
3. Keep an open mind, you might find an opportunity you had never considered.
4. You don’t need to visit everyone, it’s better to spend more time with the employers you’re interested in.
5. You don’t need to decide on the spot, you can do more research and reconnect.
