10 Dares Challenge – FAQs

Why is the challenge called 10 Dares?

The 10 Dares Challenge is designed to take you on a month long journey. Completing approximately two dares a week is great way to set yourself some achievable challenges.

Do I have to complete 10 dares?

Definitely not. You can choose to attempt one, five, ten or more dares, it’s entirely up to you. The idea is simply to challenge yourself to try something new or different.

Do I have to limit myself to 10 Dares?

No, you can do as many as you like!

Do I have to pick a dare off the list?

No. You are free to do any dare you can think of. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Do my dares have to be things I’ve never done before?

The idea of 10 Dares is to do something new or different. That might be something completely new to you. Or something you do already, but you could do more of it (eg more walking) or do it differently (eg go to a movie you would never usually choose). Or it might be something you used to do but haven’t done in a long time, such as going to a disco or swimming in the ocean! It’s completely up to you to decide how you’d like to challenge yourself.

Is the 10 Dares Challenge only an online challenge or are there face to face events?

The original 10 Dares Challenge was run in 2017 and included a series of face to face events. So that we could make the challenge more widely available, at the conclusion of the challenge we converted all the resources and stories we had collected into a 5 week online challenge that anyone can sign up for at any time.

I have a dare in mind but I have no one to go with me.

Let us know and we can put the call out to see if any other Exchange members want to go with you.

Does the Exchange pay for my dares? / Do I have to pay for my own dares?

All dares are self-funded but The Exchange runs regular events which anyone is welcome to attend, and which could be part of challenging yourself. Check the event calendar link for sessions – view EVENT CALENDAR here.

Do I have to have Social Media to share my dares?

We would love you to share any dares you’ve undertaken using the hashtag #10dareschallenge – it’s an easy way for us to check out what daring deeds Exchange members are up to! If you’re not on social media but you would like to share what you’ve been doing you can contact the Exchange by email – exchange@ach.org.au

How do I share my photos/stories?

If you can’t take a photo of yourself or find someone to take a photo and you are planning something really exciting, let us know. We may be able to send out someone to photograph you.

I need some support to do my dares.

ACH Group has a range of support services available that could be of use to you and provide support in many different areas. To find out more call 1300 22 44 77.

Can the Exchange provide me with transport to my dares?

No, but if you’re stuck let us know and we may be able to find someone else who would also like to participate who you could share a ride with.

If you have any questions or suggestions about the 10 Dares Challenge please contact the Exchange – exchange@ach.org.au or Ph 8159 3425.

Sign up for the 10 Dares Challenge.

What's been your favourite moment of the Tokyo Olympics so far? Share in the comments below 👇

ACH Group customer Chris has shared his!

"Australia's soccer team the Olyroos had a great first round win against Argentina, winning 2-0. It was not expected, they played very well," Chris said.

"The female swimmers who have won Gold - you need to put those moments at the top, and the swim that South Australian Kyle Chalmers had in the freestyle relay was incredible. He went into the last turn in about fifth place and brought it home in the last lap to win the Bronze. I think if he had another 50m to swim, he would have won the race.

"I have also enjoyed watching the Hockeyroos - I do enjoy team games, over individual sport."
